Hello, and welcome to Beyond Two Worlds. A little about me – I’m a Taiwanese-American adoptee, Associate Clinical Social Worker, Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), writer, musician and artist. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) with a clinical concentration in Children, Youth and Families from Arizona State University. I have a special interest in working with and connecting to international adoptees. I also enjoy podcasting, yoga and spending time at my favorite coffee shops along the California coast.
I created Beyond Two Worlds in January 2010, when I first began searching for my birth family in Taipei, Taiwan. You can read about my adoption journey and reunion with my birth family in my book, Beyond Two Worlds: A Taiwanese-American Adoptee’s Memoir & Search for Identity.” And if you’re visiting for the first time, I recommend starting at my oldest post here then reading “up,” or from oldest post to newest.
I’m thrilled that this website has evolved into a platform for adoptees to connect and share information, resources, stories, and life experiences. I also provide consultation on adoption-related topics to adoptive parents, adoptees, adoptee groups, parent groups, professional organizations, adoption agencies, and educational institutions. If you’d like to discuss my services, please contact me via the Contacts link. Thanks for stopping by.
